This resource was developed with a leading young person's charity in 2011, to help parents and young people improve their relationship, communication and prevent family breakdown. 


​Young people often find this stage in their life incredibly challenging and this inevitably creates conflict with parents. This resource has been developed in connjunction with young people and their parents to help families navigate the difficult transition from childhood, to teens and into young adulthood. 


If you are finding life difficult and there is conflict with your child, you are not alone. Most families report that this stage is problematic and adjusting to changes in the relationship, renegotiating boundaries and managing stressful situations (like alcohol use or experimental drug use) is normal. This resource is full of ideas and tips to help you and your child maintain a good relationship.
