Sex, Gender, Attitudes

Challenging negative expectations and attitudes related to gender is key to this section of In-Formed +. Work in this sphere helps ensure that young people are confident in themselves, confident in challenging misogyny and sexism and happy to accept the beliefs and values of others.

Sex is also a big concern for young people, increasing in importance during puberty. With this in mind it is crucial that young people are educated and understand what is meant by and what constitutes consent. Overall this section aims to support young people to; have positive fulfilling relationships, and positive attitudes towards all, regardless of sexual orientation, gender or beliefs.
